Module: Tone Imagination Workshop

The classical saxophone differs clearly from the jazz saxophone due to its special timbre. Sigurd Raschèr's concept »Top Tones for the Saxophone« is formative for this »classical« tone imagination. In the »Tone Imagination Workshop«, Oscar Trompenaars and Morgan Webster convey the basic ideas of the concept and thereby demonstrate the range of musical expression possibilities of the saxophone. 

The focus of the course is on making music and listening together. With the help of precisely tailored exercises, participants create their own melodies, explore the higher registers (top tones) of the instrument and thus gradually develop their sound imagination. Participants will find their way to a beautiful, flexible and personal saxophone sound.
